My name is Kasey Lopez, and I’m a proud Navajo Army veteran, born and raised in Prescott, Arizona, as the third of five siblings. I was raised by my grandmother on my mother’s side, who is 100% Navajo, and it’s from her that I draw my deepest sense of pride and identity. I come from a rich cultural background—Navajo and Mexican on my mother’s side, and Mexican and Irish on my father’s. Today, I live in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with my wife Nikki and our two daughters, Kayden and Addisyn, where we’ve built a life rooted in family, tradition, and purpose.

I joined the Army in 2006, just two days after my 19th birthday, and served as a transporter at Fort Carson, Colorado, before deploying to FOB Q-West, Iraq, from 2007 to 2008. After my honorable discharge in 2010, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Phoenix. Over the years, I expanded my skills by becoming an Enhanced Master Gunsmith and receiving my Cerakote application certification. These certifications, combined with my military discipline, fueled my passion for firearm customization and led me to start WarPaint Customz—a business where craftsmanship, heritage, and purpose intersect.

WarPaint Customz is more than just a business to me—it’s a way to honor my roots, serve my community, and create a legacy for my family. I specialize in highly detailed, precision-driven designs using advanced tools like a Fiber laser to ensure durability and compliance with NFA standards. My work reflects a commitment to quality, cultural pride, and giving back, especially to causes like veteran suicide prevention. When I’m not in the shop, I enjoy volleyball, golf, and time with my family, always guided by the values of resilience, strength, and honor that shaped who I am today.
